Haskey wins U14 championship for the first time in years Haskey wins U14 championship for the first time in years

The Hasselt club Haskey has made history by winning the cup in the National Under-14 competition this season. This is the first time in Hasselt's history that the club has managed to win the youth competition.

This is particularly remarkable for a club with a fluctuating youth history, where many talented players started their careers but then moved to larger clubs in the area such as Geleen, Liège, Herentals, and Leuven.

Haskey finished in first place, leaving 11 teams behind. Notably, Haskey does not have any players in the top 5 of the league scoring list. The victory was achieved through a strong team performance. Noah Soeffers, the youngest of the three Soeffers brothers, scored 52 points this season. He was followed by captain Finn Jorissen with 50 points and Nicolas Van de Vondel with 46 points. Van de Vondel not only plays in the U14 but is also a successful goalkeeper in the U16 and U18.

The Federation congratulates all players, parents, and supporters on this great victory.
