To assist our Belgium clubs in recruitment and development of goalies, the RBIHF has decided to start a unique development program for youth goaltenders.
This summer the player development group of the RBIHF will organise 6 dedicated practices for goalies up until the age of 17 (u18 in 22-23 season). We aim to continue the program during next season to further support our clubs, by inviting not only the goalies but also the club goalie coaches.
The the program starts with a summer practice over 6 consecutive Monday evenings at the MECHELEN ice-rink starting at 25 July. The practice will consist out of 45min dry land, followed by 1h30 on-ice practice.

Ice practice is station based (6-stations)
availability is limited to 18 goalies per session.
Coaches are all experienced goalie coaches
supported by the RBIHF HelloPlayer program.
To participate to the summer program registration is required.
Due to the holiday period, participants are not obliged to attend every training. we assume that there will be absentees every training, which is why the maximum number of participant has been adjusted from 12 to 18 per session (3 instead of 2 per station), and the price has been kept democratic.
On ice we work in stations limited to 2-3 goalies per station, spots are limited and assigned by a first come first serve base.
