Following a directive from the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) requiring all Member National Associations (MNAs) to govern only ice hockey under a single body, the Royal Belgian Ice Hockey Federation (RBIHF) has officially ended all inline hockey activities as of July 1, 2025. This decision brings the RBIHF into full compliance with IIHF governance standards and allows the Federation to fully dedicate its efforts to the development and promotion of ice hockey in Belgium.

While many are enjoying a well-deserved summer break, ice hockey club HC Kortrijk Spurs is hard at work preparing for the upcoming season.

Following the rejection of the latest environmental permit, ice rink De Piste is working closely with the club to find a solution that will allow the season to start on time. Despite this challenge, the club remains confident in a successful restart.

The club is doing everything it can to ensure that all players can continue practicing their sport in Kortrijk. That commitment is at the heart of their current efforts.
